Shocking Video Shows Point Police Are Stabbed in Surprise Attack

Both Sergeants Instants Before the Assailant Was Tasered

One police sergeant that leaped to the aid of a partner that was assaulted by a blade-wielder received the Royal Recognition for Valor.

Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against 27-yr-old Jacob Brown after he pressed a blade to the throat of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the policemen and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a motorist following a traffic accident in that location in mid-2023.

Brown knifed and cut both Sgt Ansell and Sgt Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a stun gun.

"Policeman knifed," the constable stated over his radio.

Officer-mounted and vehicle camera footage shared by the force depicted Brown, who was dressed in black with a head covered, rush to Sgt Foster from behind with a blade extended.

He collided with the policeman who tripped and dropped to the pavement, before Sgt Ansell intervened and attempted to subdue him to the ground despite being continually attacked with the knife.

PC Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and waited for a open target, ending the fight to an conclusion.

Sergeant Ansell was heard stating: "Please provide assistance on my throat here, I'm bleeding in the neck."

Sergeant Ansell received multiple open wounds to his neck and additional wounds to his limbs and body, while Sergeant Foster suffered slash wounds.

Officials stated Sgt Foster used his bare hands to stop his colleague's bleeding before emergency responders arrived.

The new recognition comes after the trio of policemen were granted departmental Courage Honors in fall 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the area Police Federation in early 2024.

They additionally received a North West Courage Honor in summer 2024.

"The actions of each policeman in the end protected one another and ensured no bystanders experienced any wounds."

Brown was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in April 2024, as stated by officials.
